The sequel of my previous file sharing post arrives:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8337887.stm
So Net pirates, who use file-sharing websites such as pirate bay to download copyright material in an illegal manor apparently spend a fair amount on legitimate versions of music too. But dose that make it right? Defiantly not:
If i was to enter a tesco store and steel 4 cans of coke…..
Then a week later go and buy 2 cans at ASDA….
Would this make me less of a thief? No.
If the ability for net pirates to download is non existent or significantly less… they will spend more! Thats like shipping, if there is CCTV, electronic tags and security staff, the risks for shoplifters are much higher so they can ether leave it, buy it or take the risk and get arrested!
I think we all know the way forward from here.

Comical genius Russell Howard began the first ever episode of his new TV show ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’, Filmed in front of a live audience. My first thoughts is a cross between Mock The Week (which features Russell) and Harry Hill’s TV Burp.
I really enjoyed the first and second episode, its a fun packed show filled with laughs, mostly about day to day things we can really relate too.
He has really progressed and improved from his earlier days with features on shows including ‘Live at the Apollo’ and various others.
Hope you enjoyed that clip from the first episode, all in all i give it 5/5. You can catch up on the BBC iPlayer online Here.

Lance Corporal Joe Glenton, from the Royal Logistics Corps, has recently become the first serving solider to speak out in public against the war in Afghanistan. He recently wrote to Gordon Brown (PM) to explain why he wont be returning to resume duties in Afghanistan. The letter was delivered to Number 10 Downing Street on the 30th July, this year which was based on his message that UK politicians should be putting a stop to this unjustified war and stop wasting soldiers life’s. Joe now faces up to 2 years in prison.
Joe recently led the STWC march in central London on the 24th of October. He also made a speech in defiance of orders. He also recently returned to his barracks, expecting a hostile response to his actions from his fellow troops, instead of being branded a coward and mocked he was applauded.
Heres some comments Joe has written about the Afghan war:
“We were told quite specifically the different reasons we were there for: to provide security, reconstruction, rebuilding infrastructure,” he said. “But over the course of my tour it became straightforward combat,” he said.
“A lot of guys around me didn’t know why we were there. The confusion happening in the UK today was evident among the troops three years ago.”
I would like you all to join me in support of this great man, if you would like to help the organization STWC (stop the war coalition) Please Click Here to view there webpage, support them, donate if you can and attend some marches!
Thanks for reading.

First off i would like to wish everyone a Happy Halloween 2009, this is the first of the special posts which will occur on special holidays such as Christmas, Easter and More. I wasn’t quite sure what to write about so i’ve decided to mix some facts with some jokes and some tips too!
Were did Halloween come from?
Halloween originated from Ireland during the 1840’s in the Celtic culture, According to their Druid religion the 1st of November was their New Year. The celebrations would begin on the 31st October and continue until the next day. It’s believed all the spirits who had died the previous year would rise up and roam the earth during this night. Halloween is now celebrated all over the world with costumes, trick or treat and Superstitions.

Ticket touters cover all types of events including concerts, festivals and much more they make a mint off venerable people desperate to enter usually, sold out gigs or offering to buy left over tickets off fans for at times as little as 20 pence (friends experience). It’s not so much a worry for the artists, venue or promotor in question due to the fact that the tickets have already been purchased through a legitimate ticket seller or the venue itself, what is a worry for venues, promotors and bands is customer protection. These people are all in all, criminals and I’m betting some of them wont stand for argumentative customers, back chat or any other attitude towards you or your pocket. My advice is stay away from ticket touters, there rip of merchants and could be dangerous. Plus i don’t know about you guys but i find them pretty intimidating! Also ticket touters now operate online, be very careful and aware and try your best to use safe reliable re-sale sites!
Now on to the good old fake merchandise sellers, these are more of a concern to everyone involved most of them are very intimidating, in your face and rude. These people are there for one reason only to pocket some tax free easy money, they attempt to ambush you by saying at times ‘It’s official merchandise there is no merchandise inside’ or ‘Official tour t-shirts’ there not at all, official merchandise (if on sale) will always be sold inside the venue itself. Not only is this robbing the bands blind (if you buy the official merchandise they get the money to make new records/tour more/etc) they are also robbing you blind by selling poor quality items. Pay that extra few pounds and get the good stuff. Do not show attitude to these guys no matter how much you want to they are also criminals and wont stand for any abuse, at one Enter Shikari show this october in the UK, security attempted to move some of these people on from the venue property, they got assaulted. So please do not, however tempting it maybe do not buy any merchandise off the streets outside venues.
I hope this has opened some eyes and helped people out.
